DNV Poland offers services of ship classification and certification management quality. It has three offices Gdansk, Katowice and Szczecin for classification and certification customers and one just for certification clients in Warsaw.
In 1999 in cooperation with Gdansk Technical University a modern modeling centre was established as Nauticus Modeling Centre (NMC). It is called virtual shipyard and creates 3D graphical models of vessels classified by DNV all over the world. September 2003 the centre was splitted into two independent sections. One is still dealing with 3d graphic models and research and development tasks. Another called Poland Approval Support Centre (PASC) assists polish maritime industry with approval of documentation and support work of head approval section in Norway.
